To work from photographs, I need sharp, clear images. Include a close-up if possible. If needed, it can be arranged for me to photograph your pet – please contact me (the artist) directly.

Choose photographs which best reflect the unique character of your pet (choose several if necessary), and which show any special colourings or markings.

Remember, with enough reference material, details or anomalies in the photos can be changed, so don’t worry if the pictures aren’t perfect.

Decide on the ‘look’ of the painting and the composition. Do you want a detailed or plain background? What size and shape? Do you want it painted on board, 2cm or box canvas? E-mail or post your photographs along with the details of the painting. A 25% deposit is required to secure a commission.

Please allow up to 4 weeks for completion, depending on size and requirements. A preview of the completed portrait will be sent either via e-mail or post for approval before full payment is requested. This gives a chance for any minor changes you may think necessary.
