A big challenge for October…….a drawing a day, but only in ink….it’s called Inktober and folks from all over the world take part.

Out came my fineliners, pro-markers, dip pens, brush pens, biros, graphik markers, and felt tips and off I went…..

Its pretty tricky to come up with a subject to draw out of the blue, so I set myself some parameters – A to Z to begin then R, U, D, G, E to finish…..from Aye-Ayes to beetles, kittens to narwhals…..

…to Spock, Wurzel-Gummidge, Van-Gogh and Pip the most magnificent cat.

‘Limiting’ myself to draw just with ink was actually quite liberating! There is so much variety in the type of line you can make – biro became a firm favourite.

I’m starting to think I need a new challenge for February…….
